Zumba Toning is particularly effective for toning and strengthening muscles. The weighted toning sticks engage muscles that are typically underworked in traditional aerobic exercises. For example, the upper body, including the arms, shoulders, and chest, is activated when lifting and swinging the toning sticks during dance moves. The lower body, including the legs, glutes, and core, also benefits from the resistance exercises involved in squats, lunges, and hip movements.
